FIFA Master "goleia" Scrappy Legends
With an impressive performance from Ronnie (scored a hat-trick), FIFA Master FC achieved its second triumph in two matches.

Miguel, Dave Fowler, Kevin, Ronnie, Gerardo, Tony, Dan Israel, T.K. and Dan Michelucci; Kaita, Tiziano, Monti, João, Jair, Martin and Roger.

Everything was great! We finally played in a proper pitch (ok, it was astro-turf, but it was 11 a side with regular size goals), with new uniform and with an incredible weather. Even the referee was good! Can you believe that?

Everyone had the chance to play and enjoy the morning/ afternoon. Oh yes, and we won too! 4 - 1.

The first half was completely ruled by FIFA Master. We really put a lot of pressure and the other team hardly crossed the half line. The corner kicks gave us many opportunities for the opener, but we always headed the ball out of the goal. After the sixth chance, someone commented that Jair’s head should have the shape of a 50 pence piece, ah ah ah.

After a fluke from their defenders, Ronnie had his chance, and didn’t through it away. One, nil.

Almost in the end of the first half shot, entering the penalty area, and scored the second goal. Nice goal. Nice present for Lucci who celebrates his birthday this Monday, 15th.

Shortly after the beginning of the second half, Scrappy Legends scored their goal and tried to apply some pressure on us. By that time, after many substitutions, I’d say that we presented some very interesting tactical variations. Ok, to tell the truth we were only disorganized.

Anyways, in the last 20 minutes, we recomposed ourselves and applied hard pressure on them. Monti, Roger, João, Tiz and others lost countless opportunities to score. But thankfully, Ronnie did not. He had two other chances and scored twice, to become the man of the match.

Brazilian flair! It was f***ing cold!!! 4 C.

After the match, our heroes were interviewed and gave their impressions of the game. “Wayne” Ronnie said: “It was really great to play eleven-a-side. Hey, don’t write that shit!”

Lucci, our birthday-boy, who scored the second goal, mentioned that he was surprised of how well we played. Monti agreed and made sure to reinforce that he was truly very pleased with his own performance. “Once again, I was clearly the best. As usual”, said the humble Swiss.

Dan Israel was also asked about his opinion about the game. He said: “I like big butts, and I cannot lie”. Well, I think that’s what they call British sense of humor. (?)

Furthermore, the FIFA Master FC would like to thank Rob Lewin, from DMU Student Union, whose help made it possible for us to find both an opponent and a place play.
